I would like some opinions/suggestions - Would you buy a '91 TTZ w/60k on it, that has NOT had the 60k maintenence (so original timing belt) and drive ~7 hours home? I'm considering it, but I'm extremely paranoid about the timing belt. I know the 60k mile mark isn't an on/off switch for timing belt breakage, but the fact that the car is 14 years old means it's not exactly new. How reliable is simply inspecting the belt? Any precautions that can be taken? Too risky to try? Once the car was home, the timing belt would be changed. Any input is appreciated, Thanks.
